Staff were really nice and made me and my friend feel welcomed. The food was perfect, wanton burger, chicken balls and fried rice were my favourites, would definitely come back again !!
First time visit for Chinese food due to all the good reviews and they did not disappoint. Had the #9 Combi and everything was great - big portions, amazing friendly personable service, food hot fresh and very tasty. Chicken Balls were huge. Decor is dated but who cares about that when it’s clean and they take care of their customers this well. Will definitely be back.
I have been coming to JJ’s since I was a kid. My favourite thing to get Every time is a poutine everything about it is perfect there’s so much cheese and it’s all melted very nicely, there’s a lot of gravy as well and the gravy tastes amazing! Their wontons are sooo good as well so much flavour in the filling! Today I got to try their wonton burger and oh my good it’s mouth watering sooo good! The service is always great staff is very welcoming and social I love the environment and the wait is not too long and the food comes out nice, hot and fresh. You have to try JJ’s if you haven’t! I will always come back amazing experience for years on end never disappointed:)
I love JJs restaurant I come here almost every single day I’m able to. I enjoy eating lunch here and the staff and service is awesome and fast. And the staff is amazing and friendly and always good to me and my family. My favourite thing to eat is either the chicken fried rice or the shrimp and beef rice bowl. All of the food is amazing no matter what it is. I would recommend anyone going to jjs because that’s one of the best places to eat in Thunder Bay. Also don’t forget to try the chicken balls. They are soooooo awesome. One of my go to dishes to eat includes the chicken balls.
I had alot of fun just being there—on top of that the food was absolutely amazing my compliments to the chef. Honestly? This is the most welcoming, respectful and FUN resturant to be in! They treat you so kindly here. The ‘Family Resturant’ is not a lie. They played some awesome music so the atmosphere was always electric. And the food ohhh, it was perfect. The flavours and texture all melded together. 5 star experience on every front.
always delicious meals at JJs. I like my number 9 chinese combo. But they have the best fries and gravy. All the food is great. Trang and staff always welcoming.
The staff takes the family part of the title and brings it into the atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff gave us everything we needed before we even needed it, they had great conversation starters, and the food was definitely a mother's cooking. Even though I'm from the US, it feels like a local restaurant that I've been to many times. Please come to bless the staff and be blessed by the staff.
I eat here more often than I should because I work next door. The staff are amazing. The owner is amazing. I love how when you walk in you feel like you’re arriving at a big family dinner. Everyone is so welcoming. The owner walks through the restaurant and chats with everyone eating, sharing stories and ideas she has for new menu items. Today I tried the wonton burger and it was soooo good!! Wonton filling, topped with grilled onions, lettuce, a delicious sauce and fried crispy wontons! 100% recommend!
